Me too. broke out in hives. Felt it hit my heart & just spread out to my limbs. Techs could hear me in the tube. Only thing they said was lie as still as I could; we're almost done. Looked like I was attacked by bees when I got out. At least I got benedryl.

I also reacted to CT dye - all I felt was itchy, then the techs patting my hand, saying it would be all right. I didn't see my face in a mirror until 4 hours *after* ... and I literally did not recognize myself.

We often are not. I had a reaction to the dye also, they only listened to me after they verified in my record that I was allergic to shellfish. They tried to dismiss my trouble breathing initially by claiming reactions should be minimal & I just needed to calm down. Sorry you dealt with that too.

Interesting... did not know it was connected to a shellfish allergy.
Many years later, after bingeing on shrimp, I developed a fast-growing tumor. One doc said allergy, but no one took her seriously; 2 gynecologic-oncologists diagnosed probable Stage3 uterine cancer. Tumor was benign.
