Trump's 2024 primary votes dropped to 911,424 from 1,162,984 in 2020, suggesting waning enthusiasm in his base. Primary votes don't always predict general elections, but a decline of this magnitude signals serious vulnerabilities.

2016: 1,077,221
2020: 1,162,984
2024: 911,424

The drop in primary votes could be interpreted as an erosion of Trump's support within the GOP. In the context of a general election, this could mean less automatic support from Republican voters, making him more reliant on convincing undecided and swing voters.

I would also like to highlight Trump received fewer votes in 2024 than in 2016. Considering these factors, Trump's position heading into the 2024 general election is precarious despite what the polls and the pundits claim.

I keep hearing that Biden's strength is with the most informed voters and those most likely to votes. A trump is strong with uninformed and low propensity voters. That is further good news for Biden.
