I know this is an op-ed...but what the hell?? Is this the Washington Post or "The Catholic-Mormon Patriarchal News & Sentinel"?

It's the "Keep Women Barefoot, Pregnant, and in the Kitchen" policy.

I went and read this opinion piece. It was written by a hard right white Catholic dude who tipped his hand when he used the word “clan” to describe the ideal large family.

Make no mistake, he’s pretend concerned about family issues while actively pushing white replacement ideology.

This is where religions+corporations fucked up.
Religions want more followers so they can continue their religious generational grift, but corporation are greedy and make having children impossibly expensive.

They NEVER think about the future repercussions of their decisions

Fuck them. We had two. It’s incredibly hard work. Having four or more ensures you’re going to make the older ones be proxy parents and do your damn job. They just want to populate the world with their fuckery.

One more thing, kids are ridiculously fucking expensive!

I'm the eldest of 9. It took me decades to get over despising kids. While I selfishly managed to have a good childhood, most people like me didn't. Kids aren't just expensive, they also have mental & emotional needs that can't be met by two overworked parents/overhwlemed elder sibling.

My grandmother barely made it into 6th grade. She had to drop out of school when she was 10 because she was handed the newest baby to raise. But that was in a Kansas sod house in 1902. Where are we now??

How did I know this headline was written by a man even before I saw the byline? More kids; more joy? 🤣

Personally I have the ideal number of kids for me, none. I’m over 40 and very pleased. So is my husband. We love our family of choice.
