Most important thing to remember: Stay Calm! Don't yell, push, or grab. Try to stop the behavior before it happens ("Off"). If they still jump, turn away, freeze, and don't respond. They jump for attention so stay calm until they stop and then tell them to "Sit". #DogTips #DogsofSpoutible

I'm having a time with my 6 month old pup right now for this behavior.

He's a puppy, which is the biggest part of the problem. When he was a younger puppy and he jumped, how may people said, "Oh that's ok" as they rewarded the jumping by petting him. Now he's bigger and it's not so cute anymore. Gotta train people, as well as your puppy.

Exactly so. When I walk him many people will reward his jumping up while I struggle to hold him in check. At a little over 6 months and over 50 pounds already its a challenge to do!
