My eldest grandkid is turning 15 this year.
She has an iPhone that her parents blocked internet access on. She can play downloaded games and watch child safe YouTube but no social media, no Google, no email.
That's gonna change soon, but it has been easier to get her away from her phone.

There have been a bunch of studies on dopamine and the effects produced by scrolling. Most are clear in their conclusions on the addictive impacts.
