Does anyone else start feeling melancholy in the days leading up to your birthday? I don't know why that is...it's not about age (although when I think about where age ultimately leads I feel bad in a different way...)

Not me. I’m usually happy and amazed at how I feel as I turn another year older — except this year. I’m pissed because my birthday is soon and I realized a few weeks ago that I’ve been thinking I was already that age for the whole past year. I’ve missed an entire year! I gotta pay better attention

I’ve had the problem of becoming confused about my age for a few years now. Every year after 50 has seemed the same.

Covid messed it up for me 1st because I used to celebrate with a party or a trip. Without markers time slid by but I’d be more likely to forget I was older. The only thing I can think was different this time was a good friend died unexpectedly around my birthday and it threw me off big time. Still😡
