My long-held anecdotal belief that Toyota drivers are, very generally speaking, the least situationally-aware driver class and most inclined to act like they may, in fact, be the only ones on the road was supported this morning on my return trip from grocerying. Other people exist, you know 🙄

My theory is it’s whatever is the latest, shiniest, most popular model that appeals to arrogant, entitled showoffs. So over time, they sell that and get the next shiniest one, while their old cars are being driven by the hoi polloi like me.

My observations are largely from commuting between Huntington Metro area and Reston, VA for several years, several years ago. People complain about the traffic in Columbus, but lol it's tinkertoy kid stuff compared to DC / Northern VA. Toyotas were notably the worst offenders, IME 👍
