Does anyone else start feeling melancholy in the days leading up to your birthday? I don't know why that is...it's not about age (although when I think about where age ultimately leads I feel bad in a different way...)

Not me, not thus far. I get excited af. I think after so many years of long suffering stuff, focusing on that one day a year being all about me has been healing and also fun.

I felt rather excited this year. But then sad when it was all over.

I gor acute food poisoning the day after my birthday and was down for 6 days. Most terrible experience of my life. So glad I had fun on my birthday.

Lobster actually. We think it was the lobster because my friend's wife had it and got sick like me. Not as bad as me but quite sick.
