I so recall wanting the two-seater Datsun 1600 or 2000.

Silver paint, silver chrome, silver trim . . .
I believe this is a ‘67 Fairlady 1600.

My brother had a Datsun 2000…it was freaking fast!

That’s my recollection. I later had a Fiat X1/9 (not fast/handled incredibly). A supercharged Toyota MR-2 (fast/poor handling) and lastly a 2.2L Honda S2000 (the “Blue Beast” very fast).
Since the Honda, it’s been three manual shift Wrangler Rubicons. Sports cars are suicide machines in winter here.

My favorite car was my MR-2 it was fast and handled really well…pretty good in the winter with the mid center engine except in Ann Arbor where they didn’t plow until it stopped snowing.

The fastest I’ve ever driven a vehicle was in that MR-2 on I-10 uphill west El Paso.
My other half spun it, rolled it & totaled it. (That was a DUI situation, but I take a dim view of the handling.) She survived/scarred for life.

It handled really well on the windy roads in New Hampshire…fast and fun. Traveled long distance and it was very enjoyable. 5 on the floor…red.

Mine was a supercharged five on the floor 1988, also red. It was much more civilized than the S2000.
