I too plant lots of marigolds & flowers for their protective qualities & for the pollinators -

this year however, the marigolds & some pepper seeds
aren't germinating as they have in prior yrs

as a seed saver I have been curiously noting these occurrences as climate chaos changes yr to yr

oh yes, I remember that happening when as a teen, I lived for awhile in a wetter climate.

Am always grateful for the volunteers who freely arise, those the ones I try to seed save from bcuz they are acclimating.

You will have plenty of seeds with the plants you have if you want different colored.Miracles, then just go get different color marigolds.I think the cheapest plant you can buy.Put them between your tomatoes really good deterrent for any kind of bug.
