Yes, we really have to stop lionizing people just because they can code a fun online tool, because they have money to invest in other people's ideas and skills etc. These bros are horrendous people, and their wealth and celebrity just makes them worse.

Wow. I didn't realize Dorsey had abandoned BlueSky. In a nutshell, it was because he wants social media where bigots can say anything they want without consequence; people on BlueSky didn't want that, so he went back to Musk's X. Which just makes it harder not to resent ones own lack of advancement. Intellectually I understand the barriers and my role in not being driven enough to risk fighting through them. Emotionally I’m crushed by the unfairness. I am so much smarter and more ethical than these fucks. Why no rewards??

Couldn't agree more. I got passed up for a promotion I was extremely qualified for. They actually decided to nix the position rather than give it to me.

As a white middle aged dude I know I don't have blockers others do, yet here I am just involuntarily lateraled into a role I didn't want under someone at the level I should've been 5 yrs ago. "Don't do that, he'll be a retention risk" old boss told them. They did it anyway. Resume is going out 🤷‍♂️
