Just a very small sample of Black massacres across the U.S. throughout the years. Which ones did you learn about in school?

My mother learned about Chicago's "Red Summer" from Black friends when we lived in Rogers Park. I researched it about 2 years ago.

I learned about Rosewood & Tulsa in school - but not *from* school. I read an article about the "Rosewood" movie, & found another piece that mentioned Tulsa. 😢

Killing is the one thing we white people can do without discrimination.

A few but that was only because I had a Black man for a history teacher for a year and he didn’t use provided text. But I know others that had white teachers in the same school never once learned about any of them.

Not a single one. And this list doesn't include the 1912 attack on Oscarville, a thriving Black community in Forsyth County GA, which is now under the man-made Lake Lanier.

Not nan one. I was born, raised, and lived in NYC for 30 years and only learned about the NYC Draft Riot from the movie Gangs of New York.

Even in the movie, they skipped over the racial element. I later read about that part.

Don’t forget they also completely destroyed an entire Black community for the sole purpose of creating Central Park.

None. And I went to "good" schools. I learned about Rosewood from the eponymous film.

1/2 This is the reason why history repeats itself. People think “Oh that will never happen!” But it has happened already hundreds of times in the past. Not knowing the true accurate history of our country will lead us into making the exact same mistakes. It’s very evident the U.S. is in a vicious
