Not nan one. I was born, raised, and lived in NYC for 30 years and only learned about the NYC Draft Riot from the movie Gangs of New York.

Even in the movie, they skipped over the racial element. I later read about that part.

Don’t forget they also completely destroyed an entire Black community for the sole purpose of creating Central Park.
