I agree with the person who said we should stop using words like homophobia and transphobia which mean fear of. It's not fear, it's hate - they hate people who are gay, trans, etc. They may say they don't but there can be no other reason for wanting to take away people's rights, harm or kill them.

One of many probs #MikePence has, common to most dishonest #GOP politicians, is that they don't understand a defining trait of jokes is they are funny. So, no Mikey, that wasn't a joke. It was a homophobic slur that reflects only on you, not at all on #PeteButtigieg .

It's definitely problematic. It's meant in the psychological definition as an intense and irrational aversion or dislike. People simplify that to 'fear.'
