I see a bunch of accounts suggesting we ban the AR-15, but I don't think that solves the problem. There are endless other high capacity semiautomatic rifles. I think we need to stop the sale, transfer, and ownership of mags with over ten round capacity.

What do you find more effective?

Ban AR-15 platform rifles

No more hi-cap mags

I find the most effective is putting a $50 tax on each round of ammunition sold, publicly or privately. The Constitution says nothing about the right to bear hundreds of rounds of ammo.

I figure, if you're using it for hunting, and it costs you a hundred dollars to bag a deer, that's not a bad deal. If you're defending yourself, a couple hundred dollars is worth it. If you're just looking to inflict carnage, maybe making it too expensive will slow it down.

Yep, and track the sale of ammunition like we do with allergy meds. If I have to give my ID and signature for Claritin to make myself better, they should have to do it for something that could kill me.
