💡Analysis: Trump will continue to run despite being under indictment. Several other Republican candidates will enter the race, splitting the vote and giving Trump the nomination. As for DeSantis, the attention he's receiving is media hype and he is unlikely to emerge as a viable contender.

Interesting to see how this plays out. I personally think Desantis will be more of a contender than projected. I think trump’s indictment will create more opportunity for republicans to coalesce for a less controversial candidate.

The "winner take all" nature of Republican primaries is exactly what prevented Republicans from coalescing around an alternative and handing Trump the nomination in 2016. I don't know if @cbouzy is going to end up being be correct, but his scenario is highly possible.
