Y’all understand we’re going to have to bust our butts even harder in 2024, right. This country will not survive a republican president. Hell, we’re barely hanging on with a GOP House. Nothing is getting done. So saddle up and get ready. We’re playing this game from the local level on up.

We lost the House because of blatant gerrymandering and red states making it very difficult to vote in blue districts. This is ongoing and worsening. If congress can’t pass voter rights legislation, then no amount of blue votes will help. Evidence: loss of the House, literally because of these reasons.

Considering Dems were supposed to lose the house by about 30 seat margin, as is the case historically, I think we beat the hell out of gerrymandering with only a 8-seat loss. How?? Huge turnout by pro-democracy voters. We voted. Voter suppressive rhetoric is more of a problem than gerrymandering.

With all due respect,I don’t think you’re aware of what’s happening in Florida and other red states.Voter turnout couldn’t beat the gerrymandering in Florida. Recall, this is ongoing and expanding in most red states.Denial of the severity of the situation is far more a problem than gerrymandering.

I live in Texas!! GOP drew Colin Allred’s district to encompass two major blue areas. Done fairly, his district should be about 3 seats. But Dems get only one. I live in Collin County, which should be blue but looks red. I’m very much aware of what d gerrymandering does.

I’m glad you get gerrymandering and your post literally proves what I’m saying; every Dem could turn out to vote and in these areas it would be moot.I understand about local races, but ultimately it’s the potus vote in 24 that’s going to define the country and yes, that is 100% about gerrymandering.

If they don’t stop the ongoing gerrymandering of the country then DeSantis, who makes trump look like a child, will be the next potus. Democracy dies with him 🫤

I think you confuse gerrymandering with other voter suppression. Again, gerrymandering affects HOUSE. gerrymandering does not affect potus race or senate. This is turning out to be an argument where there really shouldn’t be one. be well!
