It's not no one wants to work anymore.
It's no one wants to work and still be poor anymore.

My wife works with a woman who has two jobs yet is essentially homeless… because rent in Phoenix is on average $2000 and up. Sad.

I bet you'll find lower offers for that in badly named right-to-work states. More like right to work 2 jobs to survive states. And lower wages now hits on the backend, too, lowering one's retirement income.

McDonalds in Las Vegas was requiring a Bachelor's degree for a $15 per hour Manager job 🤦‍♀️ Then Covid came, and cooks were being offered that pay 🤣

Almost 70 employed for my 4th year now, I got a raise of 50 cents, still making way under $20 as a home care provider with relevant experience for half a century. 😳 Luckily I like my work. Money is a welcome extra bonus.

The basic hourly rate in Australia - minimum wage - is $21 per hour, plus leave entitlements. If you have a job requiring a Master's degree, you can triple the rate. The US exploits people in the cruelest of ways. While the average worker is gouged at every turn, the wealthy fatten their purses.

Project Developer: We need someone with an advanced degree.

Boss: What if we offered them minimum wage?
