Okay, I had no idea. If we do use gifs outside of our race do people get offended? I am asking here because I will get honest answers and not a fight like on Twitter. I use gifs because they make me laugh or because it suits the occasion. I don't even think of skin color.

I can't think of many meme/gif searches I've done that offered exclusively Black people in them, or women.

Given that, it's pretty easy to find one depicting people who match my own demographic to use. Then I don't have to worry about it.

I just choose what appeals to me. But I would be more careful if people were offended.

Yeah, I”ve used whatever GIF best expresses my emotion. I’ve used GIFs of men, people of colour, and cartoon GIFs. I didn’t think people would think that I was trying to pass. But am interested to hear what others think because if folks are offended, then I’ll definitely rethink.

Same here. I would love some more replies if people think this is a problem.

Same. I've always used whatever best fit the moment. 🤷‍♀️
