It's not on blue state people what red state voters choose to do. Apart from the inevitable "Send more money to our candidates!" that defines ALL American politics, there is also nothing but cheerleading and handholding for blue states to do. Red states are a Pogo problem, an uncomfortable truth.

Enough with the "let red state secede," "they deserve it because they voted R," "they should just move" BS. You might think it's cute & clever, but it's cruel, condescending, & selfish – you're saying "as long as I'm fine in my safe blue state who cares if the most vulnerable suffer?"

But “choose” is doing too much lifting, is I think what is being said.

When you compound the many institutional, legal + —now— historical impediments in place, voting as a democratic vehicle to representation is severely hindered.

My state supports voting in dozens of ways others states block.

The research I have seen about voter suppression concluded that it didn't tip any elections. That could be debated in some cases, no doubt, but let's face it, states with 55-65% of voters consistently choosing rabid conservatives have an embedded culture.

Yes, people are allowed to leave.
