Hey - something just occurred to me.

Do you think the expression “I’ll take a crack at it” has the same origins as “smoother than butter in satan’s buttcrack?”

This is one of those etymology puzzles, huh?

“Etymology” - from the Latin “eta” meaning “arriving” and “mology” meaning “mom’s sluggish.”
