I've been told before that it wasn't my fight because I'm not transgender or black or a woman and etc. I say these are my fights because these people are my friends. These people I love and support. I couldn't call myself a friend while ignoring the fight they are in for their freedoms and lives.

I’ve heard the same. Both of my adult kids are gay and I will always be their ally. I am also tired of being asked why I am a dem. They only ask so they can tell me how much money they saved with TFG ad nauseam

Yes, it is your (our) fight as allies. We must also remember that the persecuted are the Generals in these fights - we take their lead.

It is your fight. It is everyone's fight. It's not because they're your friends or family, it's because they are fellow human beings and if we don't support each other, who will?
