Partisanship is as old as this country. Party factions, internal wars and pushing beliefs began with the Federalist Party against the Republican Party.

Bipartisanship might be achievable on some issues, but the platforms of the current major parties are two far apart for “both side-ism.”

Sadly as long as both Major parties try to push their will and beliefs on the other nothing will change yet lead to more civil unrest, the "my way or the highway" tactics never work out well

Note: yes some will be offended by this I'm sure and therein lays a huge part of the problem

If the right were making good faith arguments and presented any “reasonable view” compromise would be possible. In our current situation we’re dealing with fascism which preys on people attempting to move the center and appeasement. Elie Wiesel got it right.
