We really need some good investigative journalism on this. Since my original post just 10 days ago, yet another Louisiana rep has announced his party switch from D to R.

We clearly are not vetting Dem candidates before adding them to a ballot.

"Vote Blue No Matter Who" does NOT work.

Political parties should be able to sue for breach of contract when candidates run with help from one party and switch to the other before the end of their terms

WTH? Are they being blackmailed? What is so wrong with people who treat their affiliation so casually? If you are engaging voters with “this is who I am” & choosing to be a civil servant, this shouldn’t be a quick switch. You’re not simply changing your mind about what clothes you feel like wearing.

Absolutely, I really do believe this is an intentional strategy by the Republican party.

Were they gop plants to begin with?
Did they get paid off to switch?
Are they being blackmailed to switch?

Many seem like pants to begin with, elected D, but votes with R, maybe switches to R or "Independent" and votes with R

It's their latest tactic. As voters we need to really vet the candidates well. Kyrsten Sinema, Tulsi Gabbard, paving the way for this new tack.

I could not agree more.

This is extremely important:
“We clearly are not vetting Dem candidates before adding them to a ballot.”

I definitely think there needs to be better vetting of these candidates, but I also think nefarious actions are a factor here, as well. These candidates are either plants from the right, or are being bought by billionaires to switch.

Either way, they should not be allowed to switch mid-term. 🤨

Louisiana is getting ready to become the new Florida with the gerrymandering and representatives flipping sides.

If a #Democrat switches over to the #GQP , between 2016 and 2023, they were never a true believer of #Democracy . Never! https://spoutible.com/thre...

I think they should have to wait for the next election to switch parties.

The issue definitely needs to be addressed legislatively because this is out of control and is absolutely a betrayal of the voters who believed they were electing D representation.

That wouldn't help because they would just vote with repubs anyway.
