apology and repentance from Fox should understand that this is just not how civil litigation works, and it is not designed to generate those kinds of results -- even if I would like to see it and the public would like to see it.

companies to be "made whole" via compensation for damages suffered due to defendant's wrongful conduct. That's it. Punishment is not usually part of the deal -- and even then, it's "punitive damages," not jail or some other kind of non-monetary punishment.
