Another #UnanswerableQuestion for me is balancing my needs as a human with the responsibilities of motherhood. How do I care for those I love so dearly, who at the same time require so much from me? What do I do when our needs conflict?

As the flight attendants say, "Put your own mask on first." You can't help anyone else if you don't take care of yourself.

The thing is, putting one's own mask on first is a very concrete definable thing. One knows when it is done. Conflicting needs when parenting are harder. A person could focus on their own needs for ages and never get to helping the child with their needs. Children's needs can't always wait.

True. I only meant that as a metaphor. The principle is, though, that caregivers need to be aware of their own needs and to not ignore them, if they hope to be able to continue caring for others.
