Very much so and while everyone has avoidance strategies, most are so engrained, people don't realize all the ways they avoid. E.g. many people think they struggle with anxiety, when in fact some other emotion is at play and they are avoiding it and thus feel anxiety instead.

I have avoidance behaviors that I attempt to sweep under the rug when asked about. Fear and anger are what causes me anxiety. 💜♾️

Very common. People often struggle with feelings of anger so will either feel anxiety or go passive into sadness which is why some people cry when they are actually angry. They may not feel safe experiencing anger so anxiety or sadness covers their anger which is avodance of anger.
