I've seen a couple of graduates of troubled teen industry talk abt their experience. It would be completely unsurprising if she had no unedited contact with her parents during this time. The graduates talk abt being forced to write certain things and having no access to phone or internet

Yep. Not a surprise. And not a surprise that people who send their children to places like this are fine with this kind of "therapeutic" isolation.

I am confident many of the parents who opt for it are controlling and emotionally inadequate parents. But I think it is also possible for parents to not realize what they are getting into & be too trusting that these outfits follow pretty standard health & safety protocols & they definitely do not.

Staff were also told to ignore reports of illness, “they” all do it to get out of work.
