No mow complements low water, especially in the dry west. So much to gain by adopting Xeric practices and planting native plants. I have neighbors with green spongy turf, and it makes my blood boil.

As a result of doing #NoMowMay for the past two years, my front lawn now produces 10+ individual Bee Orchid plants. Such a lovely bonus for me and the bees!
