Looking for a good ghost story novel that isn't Haunting of Hill House or Ghost Story (those are the usual suggestions). Any one know of any good, creepy ones? Lemmeknow!

Start w Shirley Jackson, who wrote The Haunting of Hill House and much more.

I also dearly loved this film set in Goa. https://en.m.wikipedia.org...

I recommend A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay ( will resonate even more if you’ve read Shirley Jackson’s work.) Also just read & enjoyed Ghost Eaters by Clay Mcleod Chapman.

I remember liking Peter Straub's "Lost Boy, Lost Girl," but it's been a while since I've read it.

Try any of the novels by Phil Rickman. I can thoroughly recommend the Merrily Watkins series of books written by him, but everything is pretty damn good.

I should have said that the Merrily Watkins books progress from one to the next, so they are definitely best read in order.
