Anyone ever do debt consolidation? Does it negatively affect your credit score? Is it a scam?y credit card have aprs at like 20% to 29.99% and these things I get in the mail advertise lower aprs for the debt consolidation loans. They SEEM like what I need right now.

Try Freedom Debt, ClearOne, or National Debt Relief. They may charge a fee, you have to weigh that. CCCS should be free. It’s not scammy but it takes some time to
payoff debt, just depends on how much you deposit each month into escrow & how they negotiate the payments for you. It’s not a BK.

canadian answer - i had to use debt consolidation in my late twenties. it was done through a certified/registered bankruptcy provider. it saved me from declaring bankruptcy and they negotiated a debt reduction as well. postive experience for me.

Make sure to check them out with the Better business bureau. I know people who have used them.
