Here is a sneak peek of threading, and it will be available tomorrow.

What if we refer to threads here on Spoutible as a "Flow" or a "Current", keeping with the ocean/whale theme? 🐋

I'm so excited about this feature. Thanks for your hard work implementing it @cbouzy !

I prefer "streams", personally.

Flow sounds fun. It fits with the definition of the word, too. Threads flow.

"Flow" or "stream" spunds good. Not sure about "current" as threads won't *always* be topical and people might confuse the two uses of the word.

I'm fine with referring to a thread as something else (assuming Spoutible eventually adapts the spool icon in Bouzy's mockup), but please call it something other than a Flow 😅 or Current. My mind is in the gutter for the former and it'd be nice to stick with a single syllable. Current doesn't flow.

It could also be called a Dive.

Also, when are Hashtags going to be changed to Splashtags?

I don't know... I like the idea of keeping with the ocean theme but "thread" is a term that's been used across the web since long before Twitter. It's a standard.

True, but a Current / Flow / Cascade / whatever, is just a subset of Thread.

So at the top of the page you either see the word Thread for the usual Spout + replies or Cascade (or alternative) for a Spout sequence + replies.

I like both Flow and Current, but there's also "Stream" as in "stream of consciousness" & "Gulf Stream"

Yes! Both sound great.

What if a "flow" is a thread that is a longer series of ideas?

And a "current" is a thread which is live commenting on an event?

Same! I'm wondering what "splashes" should be?! It's a great word associated with water and making waves... Maybe hashtags? But that's really larger than any SM platform..... well something!😂
