Looking forward to baking my second ever cheesecake this weekend. First attempt was a few weeks ago. Not a full on failure, but not the resounding success I hoped for. If anyone from the #SpoutibleBakes community has helpful tips, they’ll be appreciated.

It would help to know what about it didn't turn out quite right. Did it crack? Was it over/under cooked? Flavor was off?

Ingredients weren’t at room temp. Came out kind of dense and grainy

Then pull the cake out when it's slightly jiggly in the center. Good luck! I've been baking cheesecakes for years and they can be tricky when you first start.

Room temp ingredients are crucial. Having cold ingredients and over mixing/baking can cause the cake to be grainy. Next time make sure all ingredients are room temp and cream cheese is fully softened then be sure to add your eggs only one at a time. Mix just until ingredients are incorporated.
