Pay to play. Flickr had a free version and paid plans based on storage, don't be shocked when Facebook/Meta does the same -- especially as ad revenue and their user base drops.

Gonna be real interesting when these companies that laid-off all their web development teams in favor of some underpaid social media folks start to realize the cost of that as they pivot back to their own websites.
