I'm assuming "hard pants" means non-stretchy pants. Okay, I can agree that hard pants are bad but I think of all the times women of my & my mom's generations were shamed for wearing stretch pants & I don't know whether to be mad about it or glad the kids have seen the light.

Thank you. I've just never heard them referred to as "hard pants." Now I will always refer to them as hard pants.

The first I have heard this expression. Not surprised by it but totally disagree. I prefer "work" pants, they are softer material and not stiff compared to Jeans. Sweat pants /"joggers" or PJ fabric is also soft, and more comfortable than "work" pants, but for me at least is b/c no underwear.
