From 1972, here is Lou Reed's extraordinary "Perfect Day". The album, Transformer, was Reed's second solo album produced by David Bowie and Mick Ronson. "Perfect Day" was released as a single B-side to "Walk on the Wild Side", both are on the album.

Thank you for this post. I knew nothing about the artist other than hearing Take A Walk On the Wild Side, which I believed to be right up there with Lola as a song my parents would hate. 😎

Oh dear heavens, you are welcome! Reed is a legend and joins the dearly departed along with David Bowie. I had lost my ear for him until the 1996 movie "Trainspotting", a must watch movie...
