OK, I'm gonna try to make a threaded spout about my gardens. Most photos will be from last year.

First up, the memorial garden where all of our pet's ashes are buried.

This is one of the first gardens I planted here, with many of the hostas and perennials brought from our condo.

This one was created at the same time, with plants that wanted more sun. We planted an edible crab apple tree here too.

This one is next to the garage, more hostas and other perennials. It's my favorite.

There's a large pond out front, we planted all kinds of natives and water loving plants around it. It is stocked with Large mouthed Bass and has lots of frogs, toads and dragonflies in it, turtles too.

I like to container garden too. A lot of these pots are planted with flowers I start in the house in mid March. And the base of the deck has more hosta, daylilies and other perennials.

There's our Skye, out in the yard. To one side of the deck is my herb garden, close to the back door so I can run out for herbs to cook with. I put in a raised bed box, but I just grow flowers in it.

This area is a shady meadow we've allowed to grow wild and added native plants, trees and do not mow.

This is the farm strip. Our land backs up to a farm field- so I planted a strip to hide the raggedy edge of the corn or soybeans and weeds. The windmill is fun to watch too.

The Garden of Eatin'. On one side is a row of asparagus, and the front side has a row of everbearing raspberries. inside is my vegetable garden, the compost bins and rhubarb plants. One side has a steep slope, so I planted that with a pollinator garden for the bees.

Some of this garden gets full sun, some mostly shade. It's a huge crescent shape connecting 3 big maple trees. It's pretty and I can see most of it from the front bathroom window where I brush me teeth every morning.

This is the view from our deck. Such a relaxing place to sit.

This one greets us as we pull in the driveway. Lots of drought tolerant plants out here, natives and volunteer trees.

Well, that was a lot of work. Time to relax by the fire. I hope you enjoyed the thread. It was fun to try it out.

Gorgeous!!! Yes, our next move will be to a smaller property. This was a retirement project for 10 years, and we won't be able to keep this up for much longer, so we'll let someone else enjoy this place. Very little of this was here in 2015 when we bought it.
