So the new pitch to Disney: Florida hates you now. It's too hot in Orlando in the summer. Thunderstorms are wild and violent there every day from June to October plus the occasional wipe-out of a hurricane. There are more welcoming places to begin investing. This time with a beach theme added.

Myrtle Beach in South Carolina awaits... It's cooler there in summer for sure and the business climate is much friendlier. Winter is getting warmer every year. There's year-round golf. Nothing to lose in South Carolina!

Myrtle Beach knocks a day off the drive time from the big eastern population centers and that's huge. Also, it brings Atlanta within a half day's drive time with much less traffic along the way. Somehow, South Carolina was able to snare Michelin, BMW, and Boeing and each was no small miracle. YES!

I've thought of EVERYTHING. Disney has some of the most beautiful cruise ships in the world. South Carolina has a beautiful seaport called Charleston just down the road from Myrtle Beach. The governor of South Carolina should be calling Bob Iger right about now... ding, ding, ding. Charleston⤵⤵
