Survivors know Ms. Tina Turner.

She became a beacon to women who *needed to see her live & thrive after escaping horrible abuse. She left America & the nonstop jokes folk made at her expense. It still happens. My mother, a survivor, danced to Tina more than any other singer. RIP

My Mom loved her too, her favorite song was 'Proud Mary' She danced to it every time she heard it. At the end of her memorial service, the church pianist and a saxophonist she hired both played the entire piece. That church was rockin'!!!

Oh, she was. She earned her crown and lived her life as she saw fit, without kowtowing to the people who thought she should have remained beaten and broke.
