I've lifted this up before & I'm going to keep boosting it. If you live in San Francisco & know someone having a mental health crisis or see someone on the street in crisis, there's an alternative to calling trigger-happy cops. Call 911 & specifically ask for the Street Crisis Response Team (contd)

otherwise the cops will be routed to the situation. There is a better alternative than risking a deadly interaction. Trained behavioral health clinicians, peer counselors & paramedics are the members of the teams and the service is citywide. Street Crisis Response Teams are saving lives in SF❤

As a psychologist, I’m in full agreement. As a San Franciscan, our enlighten city has often suffered at the hands of mediocre minds 🤬

I cosign on your words🖐🏾🔥 I wish you well in the work you do and all the clients you touch. I'm a behavioral health counselor, too. We've all been failed by so many admins, and the folks in crisis are the ones who've always been blamed.

They are an easy target for the unscrupulous 🤬
I wish you well in the important work you do as well. I’ve worked for the city back in the day. It’s not easy at all. My heart and thanks go out to you 🤗
