The bad driving is getting worse. I don't assume that people will stop for red lights anymore. Had 3 cars go through after red yesterday and saw a u-turn across 4 lanes on a busy road.

Not claiming to know why but we have a disease infecting everyone and gov'ts saying "other people don't matter."

I think it has to do with either “living online” making us circumstantially unaware, or listening to something while driving that works the surroundings processing part of our brain. Either way, we become unaware and don’t notice it happening.

Now for scientists to discover and study it.
