How do you feel about short stories that present a moral quandary to the MC, then end without letting you know what the MC decides to do? Can the moral quandary itself the meat of the story?

That reminds me of a similar idea in an episode of Law and Order: SVU with a he said/she said with conflicting claims.

The evidence was mixed and the episode ended with the Jury rising to give their verdict and it cuts just before they read the result.
