On May 8, 2012, Rep Nadler (D-NY), along with Rep Maloney (D-NY) and other colleagues, introduced the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act in the House. On September 19, 2012, Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) introduced the same bill in the Senate.

Elect more Democrats and we get good things faster.

I’m embarrassed to admit I thought this law already existed.

Probably most Americans think that -- media does such a poor job of reporting on legislation that impacts our everyday working lives. Their coverage of labor law is almost non-existent as they chase endless stories about horse race campaigns and fabricated culture wars.

What’s even more pathetic is that I READ 2 Newspapers every day, plus I follow National News on reliable websites. I avoid TV & Cable news mainly because since Trump they’ve become too right wing. Even MSNBC was annoying me with the exception of a few hosts. I’m engaged & interested & didn’t know!

I only knew because I make an effort to follow labor and OSHA-related legislation

I'm convinced that if media consistently reported on the full spectrum of labor legislation, people would vote for Democrats. I think we know where corporate honchos in media align, though, and it's not with workers
