WTAF?! Louis DeJoy is planning to end 50,000 USPS jobs. No one should be permanently sheltered from being removed from their job. Get his arse out of there!

Not quite "USPS looks to shed 50K employees through attrition over 10-year 'break-even' plan"

The key words in the article are "may need"
USPS Board of Governors actually holds the power, and Biden has replaced trumps ppl

I realize only the Postal Board (or whatever it is called) has the authority to end his time at USPS - wondering what he has done that they think it is worth keeping him in place?

while I agree the man should be removed, this news, if I recall correctly, is not really that scandalous. I believe it refers to simply not hiring workers to replace those retiring or otherwise moving on, which may be reasonable given some advances in automation.

(3)The Inspector General may at any time be removed upon the written concurrence of at least 7 Governors, but only for cause. Nothing in this subsection shall be considered to exempt the Governors from the requirements of section 8G(e) of the Inspector General Act of 1978.

Wait! I thought he was removed by appointing more democrats to the board to vote him out.

I have no idea why he still has a job. It's infuriating.

Oddly enough, if this were to happen, it would disproportionately impact rural states with aging populations that rely moreso on mail service. These would mostly be red states. #FAFO

It's constantly the case that they vote to rain on their own parades and then find an irrational way to blame Dems for the consequences.
