Meta purchased Giphy for $400 million three years ago, and last month they were forced to sell it for $53 million.

Do you think Elon will sell Twitter, take it public again, or will he keep it?

Sell it

Take it public

Keep it

I am not sure

To sell means to admit to making a mistake or ten. He’ll keep it

I think he’ll try to sell it. Can he find anyone as gullible as him to buy it?

I think he'll keep it as his own personal plaything. He obviously didn't buy it with the idea that it would be a profitable investment... Though I could also see him keeping it through the election cycle as the go-to propaganda tool for foreign influence campaigns and then discarding it afterwards.

They'll keep it. They've wanted to kill the global public square.
They as in the super wealthy + corporations + Authoritarian governments.

Our collective voice is too strong for them.
Our collective roars can't be ignored.
Our collective activism can't be squashed.

Spoutible foiled their plan!

Part of me thinks he'll sell, but considering the dark Saudi money he took to buy it and the fact that he's obsessed wit turning it into 4chan, he might just keep it to spread far-right BS.

He bought it to make a political point, apparently it was "too liberal" and wasn't freedummy enough. He'll likely sell once he feels the libs have been sufficiently owned. If it has to go public due to a lack of spare billionaires, at least his spanner gummed up the works for a while.

I think his investors/lenders will eventually force him to sell - but by that point, he'll have accomplished his goal of destroying it from within, turning it into a right-wing hate & misinformation site.

Elon could become a tech bro version of Rupert Murdoch. He will likely keep Twitter to spread misinformation, create chaos, amplify right-wing propaganda, and disrupt elections.

If Musk contributes to getting a fascist in the White House, the Saudi and Qatari money men will consider a devalued Twitter a win.
Anyway once Musk has got his fascist in power he’s on for big right wing gov bailouts, again

$400 million compared to $53 million is a loss that would make someone jump from a window. Good God.
