I have heard a very good argument for keeping Judge Cannon on the US v. Disgraced Twice Impeached Former President (DTIFP) case.

Judge Cannon has been slapped down hard by the Conservative 11th circuit. She will be under increased scrutiny for anything that smacks of undue ruling.

If Judge Cannon is replaced, potentially by another judge installed by DTIFP, that judge would start with a clean slate and may get away with more questionable rulings.

Likely not. Best one could hope for is surrender of his passport. Ankle bracelet would be fun but also unlikely.

So the law doesn’t apply to everyone. Even the biggest criminal in history.

It has been my position that you get as much justice as you can buy.

I would very much like the justice system to uphold the ideal that all are equal under the law, at least in this case. There is an armed minority with a tenuous hold on reality that would disagree.
