I’ve reached that stage where if a dessert comes out only so-so, we throw it out. Case in point: these blueberry bars. Life’s too short to waste on a mediocre recipe.

I'm not sure throwing it out is the best idea here.

Repurposing the failed bars as something cobbler-esque or crumble-adjacent in a bowl with ice cream would be my first salvage attempt.

You convinced me. It was a simple recipe but then I saw this at our local high-priced but delicious culinary shop. Look at the price for basically **the same product**

As a person that works at a food bank, could you maybe add something to it (whipped cream?) to make it better instead of wasting food by throwing it out?

I ordinarily don't throw food away, but I saw this as empty calories I don't need. But *then* I saw this in our local high-priced culinary store and decided my blueberry bars are keepers. Look at the price they're charging!!
