A month or so ago hubby changed our phone carriers and made sure they kept our numbers. Imagine my surprise at getting a warning today saying my number was about to expire & the new one will take over. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I check, sure enough- my phone is a different number & my preferred number is temporary.

Considering how easy it is these days to port your phone # sounds like your new carrier messed up.
I have had the same cell# since I got my first "Brick" 35+ years ago. I have been with every major carrier.

Yeah something is glitchy. We called them & they say they only have the number we requested as my number in their system, but since my phone disagrees, we have to take it into the store for support. All the times we’ve switched and I’ve never had this problem.

I hope you get it worked out as it is such a simple thing. The worst we have experienced is discounts we are entitled to getting messed up. I get a substantial disc. from AT&T thru my employer & we have no data or minutes restrictions of any kind & it includes hot spot. Occasionally they mess up.
