Replies are vital, and in the near future spout authors will be able to pin useful replies to the top of replies.

Just posted this on "Post."
It will probably fall on deaf ears as it has before. Baffles me why Post and Tribel treat replies-to-posts like just secondary "noise". Destroys any chance of more extensive discussion.

Speaking of adding replies related features @cbouzy , can you guys add the ability to reply to a spout with a thread? That would be super awesome.

A thread within a thread?

No. If someone writes a spout and I reply to that spout, I can only reply with a single spout. I cannot turn my reply spout into a reply thread (at least no way that I could find).

This isn’t necessarily the same thing, but I’m pretty sure you can quote spout and then use that quote spout as the start of a thread. Of course, this creates a separate branch to the original spout, but it’s an option.

Yep, I already knew about the option to create a thread quote spout. But like you said, it's not the same thing. Sometimes I just want to reply with a verbose (i.e. more than 300 characters) spout rather than quote spout. Thanks for trying to help though. 👍
