I asked the Spoutible community about adult content on this platform, and the users overwhelmingly said they didn't want it.

I'm not sure I want to stay. Spoutible touted itself as a true twitter replacement, a place we could all be safer.

Then it appears to have left sex workers, kinksters, and other groups at specific risk of harassment & abuse online, to fend for themselves on twitter.

Disappointingly judgemental!

I’m not sure I understand what qualifies. I’m open to adult conversations but I don’t want to see unsolicited and explicit material randomly in my feed. #Spoutible

This is where @cbouzy could come in with the programming to add content warnings or ways to flag content or accounts as NSFW so it is automatically not shown to someone who tells spoutible they do not want to see it. (for example)

There's no reason it can't be here AND not be in your face.

Sounds reasonable to me as a user with no programming knowledge
